This intermediate specification design includes the 5 inches of 40mm lime stone as the drainage bed , incorporating both the Sofrtack Equisand and  Rubber Fibre . However  smaller sized clean stone instead of a membrane is used to seperate the sand from the drainage bed .

This combination provides an easier method of repairing than that of membrane , should in the unlikely event no maintenance be done and horses work them selves down to this layer,
Additionally it is known to provide an even quicker passage for water getting to the drains.
